A REPORT FROM AN ONLINE MEETING WITH PARTNER COUNTRIES FROM A PROJECT „KNOWING OUR ORGANIC FOOD” ORGANISED BY A ROMANIAN SCHOOL.
The series of four online meetings started on 19th April 2021 and lasted four days until 22nd April 2021. This time the host of the meeting was Romania. There were five groups of students from Poland, Sicily, Portugal, Spain and Romania participating in the meetings together with their teachers. Each group consisted of four stidents and two teachers. They connected at a set time by Google Meet.
On the first day of our meetings the students from Romania presented their country, region and the school they attend. By watching their presentations and films, we had an opportunity to find out that Romania is a beautiful country with rich history and it is really worth visiting. We could also get to know their traditional food and national dances in beautiful colourful costumes.
Finally, each participant of the meeting told us about their hobbies and interests.
On the following days all the students made speeches on the eating habits of young people in their countries which turned out to be very alike. Also, the students from all the partner countries presented the glossaries which contained words and expressions connected with entrepreneurship and organic food with definitions all in English and had a translation in their mother tonque as well.
These virtual meetings had a very pleasant atmosphere and they were a great opportunity not only to increase language skills of the young people but also to improve their social skills and the ability to discuss things by taking part in debates expressing their views and the possibility of making new friends. The students got to know each other better and we hope to meet in reality during the mobilities which will hopefully take place after holidays.
We are all grateful to Ramona for organising the meeting and we want to thank her, her colleaques and students for preparing such a great event which was a wonderful experience for all of us.
